The Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, hosted Muslims, Christians and community leaders at Iftar at Lugard House, Lokoja the State capital.
The Governor used the opportunity to appeal for continued religious harmony in the State.
He appealed to religious leaders to always preach sermons that emphasis the areas of similarity in the two religions as both faiths are directed not only one God, the omnipotent.
He called on the people of the State to pray for peace in Nigeria and the government at all levels.
The event was graced by a diverse gathering that included Muslim and Christian leaders, state commissioners, and other dignitaries.
