Brilliance does not live in the hair, it lives in the brain. A young girl from Yobe just won an international English competition.
Hijab or no hijab if you are smart, you are smart; and if you are not, even wearing a crown would not help you pass common spelling.
It is clear that Jesus would not have handled the matter this way. He ate with tax collectors, defended a woman caught in adultery, and welcomed those the religious elite called “unclean.”
Wearing a hijab does not invalidate our Christian faith, it’s just cloth, not sin.
Maybe Bishop should take a trip down to Kogi Central, the home of religious tolerance, where women on fire for Jesus still wear hijab to church service without anyone’s salvation falling apart.
This is not the first time Oyedepo has got it wrong.
Remember when he slapped that young girl on the altar because she said she was “a witch for Jesus”? That was not zeal, it was misjudgment.
The people around him should really calm him down before his passion keeps crossing the line into actions that do not reflect the Christ he preaches.
