The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite has emphasized religious tolerance and unity as he stressed the importance of serving God within the government.
Adegbite ecplsi that the two major religions in Nigeria share a belief in God and the Holy Books.
He urged Christians in government to be exemplary in their conduct and serve as change agents as he noted that pilgrimage is a spiritual exercise and not a tourism or jamboree.
Unity
Speaking on the need for unity in Nigeria, Adegbite reiterated the commission’s commitment to propagating the gospel of love, peace, and unity for national development.
He emphasized the need to come together and foster unity in the country.
According to him, the commission achieved its zero-tolerance stance on abscondment. He therefore
warned that anyone who runs away during the pilgrimage will have a change of mind.
