Mission
The Guild of Interfaith Media Practitioners (GIMP) is established to:
- Support mass media practitioners reporting on religion to strengthen mass media promotion of interfaith dialogue towards achieving religious tolerance and harmony in Nigeria.
- Build professional network of religion columnists and journalists involved in covering and writing news stories and articles on religion; deepening their understanding of religious pluralism to reflect in their work.
- Continually enlighten members of the public that Religious Dialogue is neither a forum for superiority of any religion nor an opportunity to convert people from their faith but a level playing ground for mutual understanding, cooperations and acceptance in a multicultural society like Nigeria.
- Encourage Journalists to see the role of the Mass Media in Interfaith Dialogue as a Social responsibility and advancement of Good Journalism practice.
- Collaborate with governmental and non-governmental agencies involved in the promotion of interfaith dialogue and cooperation in Nigeria and other parts of the world.
- Embark on intensive public enlightenment on religious tolerance using conventional media as well as the social media.

Ismaila Isah
A strategic communications leader with over two decades of experience in journalism, advertising, public relations, brand management and academic research, Isa was voted Best New Talent in Public Relations by the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) in 2010. He is Special Adviser on Media to the Kogi State Governor.
Rafatu Idris-Salami (of blessed memory) A pioneer member of the Guild and Editorial Advisor. She was a Versatile Broadcast Journalist at Voice of Nigeria (VON) and former Treasurer of International Press Institute (IPI) Nigeria.
